Cookies on our SharkRoll information site
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser so it can remember a visit. We are an independent information site about SharkRoll, and our cookies work only on our own pages. Nothing we set reaches a casino account: deposits, games and withdrawals all sit on the casino’s side, under the casino’s own rules. A cookie from our site and a cookie from the casino are separate files, set by separate owners, and each owner answers for its own.
The three cookie types we use
Our pages use three groups, each with its own job:
- Essential cookies keep our pages loading correctly and remember that you have seen our cookie notice.
- Analytics cookies tell us which of our guides are read and where readers leave, so we can fix weak pages.
- Affiliate cookies are set when you follow one of our commercial links to the casino, so the visit can be recognised as coming from us.
- Analytics cookies describe visits in general terms, such as which guide was opened and where the visit ended, and they serve our editors in deciding which guides to improve.
- Cookie notice settings record your choice, so that the notice stays out of your way on later visits to the same browser.
How we announce changes
When we change how our cookies work, we say so:
- The date at the end of this policy is moved forward on the same day.
- A change that adds a new cookie type is described in plain words before it is switched on.
- Older wording is replaced rather than stacked, so our site carries only the current policy.
- Each change keeps the three cookie types above as the frame, so a reader can see at once which group is affected.
- A reader who wants an explanation of any change can ask through our contact form.
Cookies from other companies
Some cookies come from outside our own site and follow their owners’ rules:
- Analytics providers may place a cookie while they measure visits to our pages.
- Affiliate partners may place a cookie when you click through to the casino.
- Once you are on the casino’s site, its cookies are the casino’s responsibility, and the casino’s own cookie wording explains them.
- Links to other websites open pages that set cookies of their own kind, under the rules of whoever runs them.
Managing and deleting cookies
You decide what stays in your browser:
- Browser settings let you block all cookies, block only third-party ones, or clear them after each session.
- Deleting cookies removes our analytics and affiliate records, and the cookie notice will appear again on your next visit.
- Blocking essential cookies can stop parts of our pages working properly; blocking analytics or affiliate cookies leaves what you read unchanged.
- Each browser keeps its cookies separately, so a phone and a laptop need their settings checked one by one.
- Private browsing windows usually discard cookies when the window closes.
